Regional Caravan RSK – Support mechanism for SMEs

The Regional Investment Center of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (RIC RSK) announces the official closing of the regional caravan dedicated to the promotion of the new support system for very small, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), after crisscrossing all the provinces and prefectures of the region through seven major stages.

A strategic mechanism to boost investment.

Aligned with the enlightened vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, this new system is one of the flagship measures of the new Investment Charter, aimed at creating sustainable jobs, the reduction of territorial disparities and the encouragement of sectors with high potential.

A strong institutional mobilization throughout the regional territory.

Launched on 25 November, under the supervision of the Wilaya of the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region, the caravan received a notable commitment from the territorial authorities. After a second milestone in Kénitra on November 28, chaired by Mr. Karim Zidane, Minister Delegate for Investment, Convergence and Evaluation of Public Policies and the Governor of Kénitra Province, the tour continued in the different prefectures and provinces of the region.

Thus, the caravan successively stopped at Skhirate-Témara (3 December), Salé (4 December), Khémisset (5 December) and Sidi Slimane (8 December), always in the presence of the governors of the prefectures and provinces concerned, mobilized alongside institutional stakeholders, economic and associative. All these steps have recorded a sustained participation, confirming the growing interest in the new support system for SMEs.

The tour ended today, 11 December, in Sidi Kacem, at a meeting chaired by the Governor, whose support marked this last stage.

In total, more than 1,400 participants took part in the various meetings: all representatives of the regional ecosystem as well as many project leaders and entrepreneurs.

These discussions made it possible to present in detail the mechanisms of the new support system, which is based on three cumulative investment premiums, the total amount of which may not exceed 30% of the eligible investment:

• A bonus for the creation of stable jobs (5% to 10%) intended to encourage sustainable recruitment;
• A territorial bonus (10%) aimed at promoting establishment in the provinces and prefectures classified as Category A—within the RSK region, this concerns notably Salé, Khémisset, Sidi Kacem, and Sidi Slimane;
• A bonus dedicated to priority activities (10%) identified by the authorities as structuring for regional and national dynamics.

As a central player in the deployment of the system, RIC RSK provides support to project leaders, studies investment files and coordinates with regional and national partners, up to the disbursement of grants.

In the continuity of this dynamic, the RIC RSK will soon announce the programming of thematic focus groups to support project leaders in the preparation and submission of their files. The center also continues its daily support within its headquarters, where its teams welcome and guide entrepreneurs.

Furthermore, the RIC RSK intends to maintain this mobilization by scheduling meetings with partner organizations, prescribers and professional federations, in order to popularize the new system and allow as many people as possible to benefit from it.
